Effie Sandridge Obituary
Effie M. Sandridge, 87, of Crozet, Virginia, our beloved wife and mother was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, April 28, 2010.
Effie was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on July 23, 1921.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Malcolm W. Sandridge; her three children, Carolyn, Riley, and Jeanette, and their families.
She retired as a school teacher from Heritage Christian School in Charlottesville. She also taught at New London Academy in Rustburg, Virginia, Charlottesville City Schools, Albemarle County Schools and Rock Hill Academy.
She spent four years at Gibson Adult Home in Crozet, Virginia, where she received excellent loving care from Maryann Gibson and her staff. She also received excellent care at The Laurels of Charlottesville and the Hospice of the Piedmont.
A memorial service will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Crozet, Virginia, on Friday, April 30, 2010, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain Plain Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend David Collyer officiating.
Family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Crozet Baptist Church, 5804 St. George Ave., Crozet, VA 22932, or any charitable organization of your choice.
Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

I'm so sorry to hear of Effie's passing. Effie was a true and complete example of what a lady should be. Your devotion to her and her welfare was something you don't always see but was done unselfishly out of love and is something to be admired. Dear Mac & family my heart goes out to you in your time of grief and know your in my thoughts and prayers. There is nothing I can say or do to take away your pain for if I could I would,just know Effie was a precious gift that God let us borrow and be blessed with and though we love her God loves her more and now she is home. I am grateful for the time I had with Effie and again feel blessed and honored to have known her, cared for her and most of all loved her.
