Grace Mae Wolkey

Grace Mae Wolkey, 80, of Ruckersville, died on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

She was born on May 5, 1930, in Clinchport, Virginia to the late Henry and Stella Moore Taylor.

Mrs. Wolkey was a very loving and compassionate woman who loved animals and nature. She enjoyed gardening her flowers and working in her yard. Most of all she was a devoted wife to her husband for 54 years.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Wolkey; her brother, Don Taylor of Clinchport, Virginia, and Ilene Maxidon of Conrow, Texas.

The family would like to thank Martha Jefferson Hospital and Dr. Gordon Morris for their dedicated service and care they provided.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968, with the Reverend Wendell Lamb officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the Orange County Animal Shelter, 11362 Porter Road Orange, VA 22960-4030.
