Harold Macon Bishop
Harold Macon Bishop, 82, of Troy, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2010.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Bishop Sr. and the late Lena Rosenbaum Bishop. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Bishop Jr. and Paul Bishop; and one sister, Martha Fae Perkins.
Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Reva Bishop; two sons, John Bishop and his wife, Peggy, and James "Jim" Bishop; one daughter, Sandra Riggins and her husband, Walt; two grandchildren, Jenifer and Michelle; one niece, Clarice Shermerhorn; and one nephew, Charles Bishop III.
Retired from 33 years service at Sears Roebuck, Harold was a member of the Three Chopt Ruritans and enjoyed serving his church as lay minister and Sunday school teacher.
A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 by the Reverend Tom Frost at Cunningham United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Beaver Dam Baptist Church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a favorite charity.

Reva and Family
It was a blessing to be able to work with Harold at the hardware store for over 8 years, I learned alot from him and know that he made me a better person today. He was a very special man, sorry for your loss but we all know he is in a better place. Katy and I send our love.
