Jeannette Mann Obituary

Jeannette Marie Mann

On Thursday, October 28, 2010, our beloved wife and mother, Jeannette Marie Mann, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Arthur R. Mann; their daughter, Shirley Mann of Charlottesville; their son, James Mann of Philadelphia; and three sisters, Georgie Cote, Cecile Litalien and Rose Vaillancourt.

She was born on April 23, 1933, in Brunswick, Maine, the daughter of the late Ben Cote and Marie Anne Levesque Cote. Also predeceasing her are sisters, Adele Wood and Louise Letarte; and a brother, Phillip Cote.

She grew up in Brunswick, Maine, graduated from Brunswick High, and went to work at Bowden College. She loved growing up in Maine, and she had many happy memories of her time there. She was a friend to many and she so loved to play Bridge with the girls!

She was a devoted mother and wife and we are so very thankful to have had her in our lives. It is her smile and her laughter that we will carry in our hearts forever.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Hospice, 675-180 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22911.

Friends may send condolences to the family at www.hillandwood.com.
