If there is any positive to feel from this loss, it would be to take his positive attributes foward in life. With every passing thought about Jim, I'll try to bestow his kindness, warmth, generosity and helpfullness to my future human, interactions and endevors.

I know Jim through my son, J McLaughlin and will never be able to thank him enough for being there for J all these years. Jim was not only a friend but a mentor to J beginning at a very early age. Jim has to be the most giving, compasonant man that most of us have know. His kindness, generosity and love have meant a great deal for so many of the lives that he has touched. My condolences to your family and all the friends that Jim has. You all will be in my heart and prayers on this, the most difficult day of his death. God bless you all.

My heartfelt condolences to your family..What is there to say about a wonderful person that hasn't already been said about Jimbo by so many? I have only known Jim a short time, but he always had a smile for you. He was the sweetest kindest man you would ever want to meet, and was your friend from the get go. I,along with my co-workers here at the Allied Waste-Fluvanna Transfer Station will miss you Jim. May GOD bless you all at this sad time.

Jim was a great guy that will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers to his family. Even though Kellie and I can't be there tomorrow, we will be thinking of you all and saying a little prayer. Jim, you will always have a place in our hearts.

I have some very fond memories of Jim over 25 years. Some of them not so fine. In the end Jim always made those around him laugh with him and at him. His memory will always shine bright with me. My deepest condolences to his sisters and especially his mother.

I did not know Jim Bo very well but he was the only guy that ever talked me into trying bear meat for the first time in my life and he was also the same guy who pretended he didn't see me feed it to his dog when I decided it just wasn't for me. His bon fires were filled with friends , music and laughter Jim Bo wouldn't have had any other way. May God hold you tightly in this very sad time.

What a week this has been: laughing one minute & crying the next. I know at times like these it is somewhat cliche to say how he "touched so many lives", but with Jim, that cliche is understatement. I know I, and countless others, will be telling "Jim Marklein" stories until it is our time to join him in Heaven. May God's Love & Peace, which transcends all of our understanding, be with Jim, and his family, forever.
