Joyce Marie Douglas
Joyce M.Douglas, 45, of Charlottesville, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010.
She was born on April 29, 1965, in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of Mrs. Shirley M. White.
She was a hard worker and full of life and loved to joke with the customers that came in contacted with her for the last 14 years as an employee for the Stop in Shell Station on Pantops Mountain. Joyce was a great human being, wonderful mother and very loving, who will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by a loving daughter, Shantamaria Joseph of Charlottesville, Virginia; her mother, Shirley White; and her brother, Thomas Douglas of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Preddy's Funeral Home in Gordonsville, Virginia.

I had known Joyce sence she worked at night cleaning at comdial.Id talk to her some mornings when I would get to go in to the shell.I had missed lately and asked about her.It saddens me to here that she is gone.She had a smile for everyone.She worked hard and you knew it was love in her heart when she spoke of her daughter.Iam so sorry to the family and all who knew her for her passing.I know I miss her.

dear joy, im am going to miss you very much. everday we talked and laughed on the phone and i looked forward to seeing you when i could. you brought joy to my life. i love you... to everyone else who reads this i was the last person to talk to joyce and in no way am i trying to upset anyone who reads this. i was dating joyce for 2 months ive known her for 3 years. she was very kind and a loving person. she texted me 30 mins before she passed . she said swettie happy friday big hug and kiss and last thing she said was sweetie i will let you go and text you later. 30 mins later i got a call from her daughter saying she was gone. i am so sorry for your loss and i know she is with us all. i am going to miss your smile and laughter joy love you ray.....

Sorry for loss to the family. She was loved by me and others. She was lovely lady and very pleasant to talk to. Always had a smile on her face and could talk about anything to her while you was in the shell station. she will be missed and loved and always in my heart but i just want to say it happen too fast. To the Douglas family, our prayers are with you. We wanted you to know that we looked forward to stopping by the store after we had taken someone to the hospital because we knew we would be greeted with the cheerful smile of a friend. We appreciated that so much each time we stopped by and we will miss her very much.

To the Douglas family: Joyce and i became great friends in my travels through the Stop Inn, she quickly became one of my dearest friends and we talked often for long periodes of time when i was there with her, to the Family keep your heads up and know that God in all of his infinite wisdom make no mistakes when he call one of his own back unto himself, Joyce is flying high and rejoicing in the Lord watching over us all, though we might not undestand why he took her so quick we must lean and depend on him that through his many blessings we will endure all that life has dealt and will deal us, for it is now that we must look to the hills from which commeth our help, and remember that Weeping may endureth for a night, but the Lord promises us joy will come in the morning, God Bless you'll and keep your heads up .
