My mom, VInda Garman and Lucille Willis were great friends. Many fond memories of being at her house in Ivy along with Morrison -she always made spanish rice which she knew I loved and a marshmallow dessert (YUMMO). She always laughed easily. She never forgot to send birthday cards to both my brother and myself. Both Morrison and herself were our adopted Aunt and Uncle. I know both of them are in heaven now, happy and loving each other once again. I can just see my Mom and Lucille playing pranks on each other now and forever. Rest in peace "Aunt" Lucille!

I've known Mrs. Willis since the mid-60's. I asked her one day how she was doing and she told me she felt like an old woman. Since that day, Mrs. Willis has been my grand-ma. She was indeed a wonderful woman and I shall miss her dearly.

I talked to Mrs. Willis many times when she worked at the Rotunda, she loved the University, and will be missed.

I remember Mrs. Willis very fondly. Always a great mentor and showed loyalty. The one statement she said to me when she heard I was not working on the Lawn...she said, "Carolyn, you belong on the Lawn." That made me have more love for her and the University of Virginia and to always work harder to get there.
