Michael Konnick Obituary
Michael Konnick, 65, of Charlottesville, Virginia, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 23, 2010.
Michael was the son of the late John and Mary (Sarnecki) Konnick.
He is survived by his wife Gillian (Pooley) Konnick; children, Selina Field and her husband, Thom, of Lynchburg, Virginia, Christopher Konnick and Emily Konnick, both of Charlottesville, Virginia; his sister, Mary Ann Truskowski and her husband, John, of Schwenksville, Pennsylvania; a special niece, Laura Truskowski of Charlottesville, Virginia; several nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts and uncles, Margaret Antinovitch and Shirley Beda of Plains, Pennsylvania, Lil Sarnecky of New Jersey, the Reverend Tom Sarnecki, and Jack and Betty Smolenyak of Florida.
Michael graduated from Coughlin High School and Wilkes College Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State Graduate School. Michael's love for stamps and history transpired into his career as a Philatelist (a United Nations and United States stamp dealer) for over 40 years.

Mass cards can be sent to Gillian Konnick, P.O. Box 683, Crozet, VA 22932.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2010, at New Beginnings Christian Community (Worship Site) Clark Elementary School, across from Belmont Baptist Church, 1000 Belmont Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22901. Pastor Liz Emrey will officiate.

Jill: I am very sorry about Michael's passing and I hope you are doing okay with the children. Mike was a pleasure to know and we had many good conversations at Dr.Decker's office when he used to come in. God bless.
