Harlowe Pond
Patsy Ann Harlowe Pond, 73, of Charlottesville passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010.
She was born on October 8, 1937, in Advance Mills, to the late William and Hallie Burnett Harlowe. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Betty Breeden.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harry C. Pond; her daughter, Ann Pond Dye and her husband, Robert, of Blacksburg, Virginia; and their children, Robert Dye of Norfolk, Virginia, and Katherine Dye of Blacksburg, Virginia. Also surviving her are her brother, William R. "Butch" Harlowe of Potomac, Maryland; and her brother-in-law, Milton Breeden of Advance Mills, Virginia.
Patsy had worked for many years at Robert Musselman and Associates and had been a long-time member of Hinton Avenue United Methodist Church.
A brief memorial service will be held 1 p.m.Thursday, December 30, 2010, at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Advance Mills, Virginia, with interment to follow immediately at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Hill and Wood Funeral Home from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Virginia Cancer Center in care of UVA Health System West Complex, 4th Floor Cancer Center, Charlottesville, VA 22908.

Mr. Pond and Ann, thinking about you and your family. I have the nicest memories Ann, when we were kids running around Denice Ln and Old Forge Rd, your Mom was sweet and fun. I can only imagine how much you all are missing her.

Harry and Family....I, along with my son, Ryan, send our deepest sympathy to you and your daughter in the sad loss of your wife and mother, Patsy. It has been so many years since I last saw you, but we were neighbors on Denice Lane when our children were small. I have remarried, retired and live in Haymarket with my husband, Wayne. May God bless your family.

I worked at Musselman as an attorney about 20 years ago and remember Patsy with admiration and affection. I am so sorry to learn of her death. My thoughts are with her family.
