Robert Gormes Obituary
Robert Danfield "Danny" Gormes, 48, of Charlottesville, died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at his residence.
Danny was born November 24, 1961, in Charlottesville. He was a graduate of Charlottesville High School and was the owner and operator of Upper Deck Construction. A talented sketch artist and loved by family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Woodrow Wayne Gormes and Maude Ann Spencer Gormes of Faber; his daughter, Whitney Gormes of Ruckersville; his sister, Sherry McCauley of Hayes; his brother, Victor Gormes and companion, Angie Taylor, of Faber; his nephew, Ryan Gormes; and his nieces, Tori Gormes and Amber McCauley.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday July 21, 2010, at Ridgecrest Church Cemetery, Lovingston, with the Reverend Rudolph Ramsey officiating.
The family suggest that memorials take the form of contributions in Danny's memory to the Charlottesville Rescue Squad.

I'm so sorry, Wayne, Ann, Victor, Sherry, and all of Danny's loved ones. I have a lot of memories of Danny from our younger, wilder days, especially from the time he lived on McIntire Road. It's so hard to believe he's gone. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.
