Roger Dameron Obituary
Roger Lee Dameron, 67, of Verona passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on Monday, November 30, 1942, in Nelson County, Virginia, a son of the late Clifton and Estelle Dameron.
Roger was a loving husband, Master Carpenter, and a lifetime member of Carpenter's Local 388 of Richmond.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Junior, Doug, Loui Dameron, and Shirley Wingfield.
His living relatives include his wife of 43 years, Joyce Dameron; brothers and sisters, Margarate Dameron, Jerry Dameron, David and Judy Fitzgerald, Paul Dameron, Robert Dameron, Joan Dameron, Roxy Atwell, Delores Lawhorn; and a number nieces and nephews. Also left behind is his life long friend, Molly "Shorty" Davis; many special friends, Arthur "Buck" Cook, Amanda and Hanna Rexrode; and Buck's family, Kenny and Josephine Cook, Cynthia and Rich Godwin and their daughter's, Bailey and Heather; Alfred "Buddy", and Ellen Maddox, Susan Molden Harmon and daughter Catherine Wade Harmon, Leland and Doris Brown, the Brooks family, and all of the friends at Ride with Pride.
A graveside will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, May 24, 2010, at Augusta Memorial Park with Chaplain Mark Westebbe officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made, in Roger's memory, to Ride-w-Pride, 2435 Shuterlee Mill Road, Staunton, VA 24401, or the SPCA Staunton-Augusta Region, P.O. Box 2014, Staunton, VA 24401.
