EMMITT DAMERON Obituary

Emmitt had lived in Harrisonville, Missouri before moving to Lake Pomona near Vassar in 1983.
Emmitt served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 with the rank of Specialist 4 as a Nike and Hercules Missile crewman. He worked as a Lineman for Kansas City Power & Light for over 30 years. He was a member of the Michigan Valley Community Church and was apart of Gideon's International.
On August 2, 1968, Emmitt was united in marriage to Dora Mann in St. Clair County, Missouri. To this union two children were born, Brad and Melissa.
Emmitt was preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt and Mary Kate; three of his brothers, Phillip Dameron, Robert Dameron and John Dameron; and by his sister, Berniece Ray.
Emmitt is survived by his wife Dora of over 57 years; his two children, Brad (Jessica) Dameron of Eudora and Melissa (Gene) Barnett of Dallas, Texas; his four grandchildren, Zoe, Jude, Austin and Avery; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Emmitt will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, November 19 at the Michigan Valley Community Church just north of the Pomona Lake Dam. Burial with military honors will be in the Vassar Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30pm on Tuesday at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Memorial contributions in memory of Emmitt may be made to Gideon's International or Michigan Valley Community Church, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
