Ruth Noell Obituary
Ruth Davis Noell, 89, of Culpeper, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, in the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community.
She was born March 2, 1920, in Maryland, the daughter of the late William Earl Davis and Ruth Geoghegan Davis. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Christina Davis Rice, Nancy Earl Stoughton and Margaret Davis Miller; and one stepson, Robert M. Noell Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Noell of Culpeper; a nephew, Gene O'Dell and his wife, Edie, of Ormond Beach, Florida; one stepdaughter, Barbara Noell Tignor and her husband, Tom, of Bumpass, Virginia; one stepson, William Carroll Noell and his wife, Laura, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; five step grandchildren and three step great- grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the Preddy Funeral Home chapel in Madison conducted by the Reverend Keith Wagner with interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison County Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 868, Madison, VA 22727.
