Vincent Burins Obituary

Vincent W. Burins Vincent W. Burins, 86, died on Monday, November 29, 2010.

Vince was born on April 20, 1924, in Pittston, Pennsylvania. He moved with his family to Chicago, and eventually to Hamilton, Ohio. After serving as a navigator in the United States Army Air Corps during World War Two, he attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating in 1948. He later joined the E.I. DuPont Company in Wilmington, Delaware, where his children were born.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia; and three children, Carol and her husband, Ben Grigsby, of Lexington, Christine Voss of Philadelphia, and Mark Burins of Woodland Hills, California.

Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Emily Voss, Parker Voss, Carter Voss, and John Grigsby.

A mass of christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December, 2, 2010, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
