Emile Fontenot Obituary
Interment will be in True Vine Baptist Church Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Louisiana.
Morning his departure, yet cherishing his precious memories are his children, two sons, Frank Fontenot of New Orleans, Louisiana and John F. Thierry (Elin) of Chardon, Ohio; five daughters, Krystal R. Fontenot of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Latania M. Fontenot (Kenneth) of Spring, Texas, Jerrie Fontenot (fiancé, Ronald Dejean) of Opelousas, Louisiana, Yoland Liddell (Will) of Los Angeles, California and Allison M. Major (Benjamin, II.) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; former wife, Mary Louise Duckless of Opelousas, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives and special friends.
Mr. Fontenot was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Ophelia Miles Fontenot; one son, Emile Fontenot, Jr.; former wife, Erma Leday; three brothers, Moses Fontenot, Thomas Fontenot and Henry Fontenot; two sisters, Tema Romar and Beulah Tenzeno.
Visiting hours will be observed from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, July 25, 2010, at Williams Funeral Home, in Opelousas, Louisiana.

Mr. Emile will forever be remembered by the many (boys and girls) he faithfully transported to the many schools in St. Landry Parish. Many of us got to know him as "Uncle Emile". Know that God will take care of you as he took care of all of us entrusted to him for years.
