Conrad Keado Obituary

Keado, Conrad Born September 16, 1936 to Paul and Eva Keado in Cohoes, New York, Conrad Keado went home to be with his Heavenly Father on April 18th. He grew up in New York and married Linda Woodworth on July 9, 1966. They moved to Dallas in 1971, so he could run the southwest region for Steelcase. A few years later, he bought Wilhide Inc., a local office furniture dealership which he owned for 14 years. Because he had such energy and an entrepreneurial spirit, he entered the car business in 1992 with the purchase of the Jaguar dealership in Plano and then Overseas Motors in Dallas. He enjoyed the car business for 20 years. As a business man, Conrad had uncompromising morals and conducted all his business affairs with the utmost integrity. He drew people to him with his magnetic personality, his positive attitude and his wonderful sense of humor. Many people sought out his wise counsel on both personal and business matters. His generosity was legendary and will be sorely missed by all. Conrad enjoyed many happy summers with his family and friends at his home on Cape Cod. He especially liked taking his grandchildren, Avery, Kayman and Chance for rides on the See Doos or in the boat. In addition to his grandchildren, Conrad is also survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda; three daughters: Kristen Lackner and her husband Randy; Elizabeth Culley and her husband Brad; and Allison Keado and his sister, Shirley Waterman and many nieces and nephews. Conrad was one of a kind and he was loved by many. He will be missed dearly by his girls. His grandchildren will always love and miss their Papa. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Monday, April 23 at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension 8787 Greenville Ave. Dallas 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army Dallas DFW Area Command.
