Gene SHADE Obituary


News Death Notice

SHADE, Gene Oliver Age 84, passed away Monday May 18, 2015. Gene was a loving husband and father and devoted to his family. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years Gene drove a truck for Roy Haggerman and Sons retiring over 19 years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanche and Carl Shade; sister, Gladys Shade; brothers, Ben Shade, Carl Shade Jr., and James Shade; and by an eight year old grandson, Cody Dennis. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alberta Ann Shade; son, Gene Anthony Shade; daughter Lisa Ann Shade; and grandchildren, Anthony Shade, Faith Browning and Cory Dennis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek. Family will receive guests beginning at 1:30 p.m. Private burial will occur later at Dayton National Cemetery.
