Wilfrido Chavez Obituary
Mass of the Resurrection was Saturday May 14, 2016 at 12:30 PM at Saint Ann's Catholic Church with Father Manuel Ibarra, Pastor, officiating. Concluding services and inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Wilfrido was born February 18, 1944 in Ascension, Chihuahua, Mexico to Delfina Fernandez and Candelario Chavez. He married Maria Elena Pereda and raised their family. He was a communicant of the Catholic Church. He was in tax accounting and for several years had a morning show on K Love Radio in Los Angeles. Several years ago they moved to Deming and loved his "Rancho Chavez" on Columbus Road.
He is survived by wife, Maria Elena Chavez of Deming; daughter, Diana Angell and husband Fernando of Downey, CA; brother, Humberto Chavez and wife Fina of El Paso, TX; sister, Hilda Saenz and husband Fito of Deming; 4 grandchildren, Tatiana Gordon, Jessica Angell, Sam Angell and Evan Angell.
Wilfrido was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Maria E. Chavez on July 27, 2012.
