KIMBERLY CHRISTENSEN Obituary

Kimberly Ann Christensen "Loved by All" Our beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away April 13, 2010.The oldest of five kids, Kim was born in Salt Lake on May 11, 1973 to Terra Ann Piel and Boyd Duane Perry. She was a beautiful and cheerful baby that was like a ray of sunshine in her home. She quickly became a loving older sister, transforming into the ultimate mom, and never stopped evolving in that role. Kim married her best friend and the love of her life, Robert Christensen in February 1994, and they set about raising a beautiful close-knit family. Her kids were her greatest joy and she took tremendous pride in them and their accomplishments. Kim was an amazing stylist by profession, and through her work many friends were made and blessed because of it. We will always treasure the special times we had with Kim. There were many nights spent around the table laughing hysterically about everything and nothing. Our hearts are broken and we will miss you terribly but we know you are happy. Love you forever. Preceded in death by her sister, Tristin; brother, Troy; and Grandpa Jim. Survived by her husband, Rob; children: Lela, Jessica, Tristin, and Clint; parents, Terra Piel and Boyd Perry; grandma, Neoma Gregory; siblings, Clint Perry and Luke Perry; and many other friends and family. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19, 2010, 12:00 noon at the Bennion East Stake, 5980 South 1300 West, Salt Lake City, Utah where a viewing will be held 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.

Boyd and Karen, I had to take some time to put my feelings into the right words. I know you must be hurting so much and words will not heal the wound as quickly as you would like. Kim was a beautiful daughter and you are so lucky to have had her love in your life. Because of you both of your lives will be forever touched. The love you and Kim shared will always be forever in your heart and now Kim will forever be you angel along with Troy and Tristin always watching over and sending their love from above. Kim is at peace and not alone, she will always be in your heart till you meet again. Please know that as you grieve your friends are always their for you. Anytime, anyplace what ever you need as you have always been there for us. We love you. Denise and Ted

To the family of Kim, I am deeply saddened by the passing of your Kim. She was a dear friend of many years and also my hairstylist when we were still living in Salt Lake. She was so eas to talk to and laugh with. i have known her since before she married and started her family. she was working at Trade Secerts at Fashion Place Mall. when i was sick and couldn't get out, she was kind enough to come and do my hair in my home. that was the kind of person that Kim was, very loving and giving.Again I send my very deep sympathy and love to her husband and family. Kim you are truly missed,

Boyd, Rob, Luke, And Karen, I Just Recently Learned Of Your Loss And Am Very Saddened. While I Only Had The Chance To Meet Kim Once I Could Tell She Had A Heart Of Gold And Loved All Of Her Family Very Much. I Hope You All Can Find Peace, And Once Again I Am Very Sorry For Your Loss. You All Have Friends Who Are There For You And Know That You Can Talk To Me Anytime If You Need Too.

April 20, 2010

Rob, Lela, Jessica, Tristan and Clinton; words seem so shallow at such a time! From the bottom of our hearts, we love you all SO MUCH! How blessed to have had Kimberly in your lives, to know her and love her like none others could. She was gorgeous inside and out since birth, and as she grew and developed so did the beauty, wisdom and love. She had and always will, possess a love above all others for her family and friends. That was simply the way she was and is. God bless and be with you all at this challenging time. You are in our prayers and hearts, we love you all, as we do Kimberly!
Love forever, Aunt Linda Gregory - Astleford

I've known Kim for 12 years. While she cut my curls, we talked about my three daughters and she talked about her kids. She was just a fun loving person to share stories with about our experiences of being a mom. I enjoyed her and will miss her.

Kim was a dear friend, amazing listener, incredibly insightful, kind, non-judgmental, fun, always knew the right words when you were at a loss, and had a beautiful heart. Kim is so dear to my heart. Of course there probably aren't enough kind words to do her justice, but what a bright light she always was for me. I used to joke that she could be my second mom. I really looked up to her and valued so greatly my time with her.

I am so devastated that my go to gal since high school and I won't spend another night after the doors are locked chatting and working out life's problems over an amazing cut and color. Who else can make you feel so great just to be around her?

I will miss you so much my dear Kim. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Rob and family, I can never know the hurt you feel, but I will pray that in time you may find only the happy moments when you think of her and your hearts can be healed.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kim--I have looked forward to visiting you every 6 weeks for almost 10 years. You fixed my hair and made me laugh, and I always left feeling like we solved the world's problems. Your love and pride in your children and your husband was always evident in the fun stories you shared. They always came across as amazingly strong, and I know that they will get through this. I will miss you. I will pray for your sweet family. Love, Sherry Jensen

It is difficult to put into words the feelings of loss and sadness when we learned of Kim's passing. She was a dear friend for over 14 years and I thought of her as my little sister. Kim had an infectious laugh and enjoyed telling about her family's activities like vacations at the lake or visiting relatives over the holidays or special occasions.

Kim was a wonderful listener too, so easy to talk to about anything and everything from books & movies to politics & religion. She never judged others and was always the one to give encouragement and support to friends & customers when she saw them.

The one constant through all the years was her love and devotion to her family, her children were her greatest joy and she was so proud of them. I know Kim will be forever missed by those who knew her and we will keep her in our hearts & prayers until we meet again.

Rob, Clint and girls, I know you are searching for the strength to accept and go on with your lives. THere are no real answers that will make you feel better but you must go on with your lives. Kim would want you to do that and must have had confidence in you that it would happen. She will be dearly missed by my family as well as myself. She was a great friend to listen to your problems while doing your hair. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!!

What a privilege it has been to know Kim. I appreciated her positive, warm friendship. The one thing so apparent in our visits was her love for her family. She would tell of the wonderful things she loved about each of her children. It is a tender loss to know of her passing. I pray that those she loved so very much will ever feel of her love for them. Kim will truly be missed. Your family is in my prayers.

To Kim's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I want each one of the children and Rob to know she talked about you all so often. I could tell you stories like the time cute Clint banged up his whole face...Your Mom hated seeing you in pain, she showed me pictures and asked me if she thought it would heal okay. She loved all of you. I will miss her at work. I will pray for Kim and all of you for peace and comfort. If you need anything I would love to help.. Love Amber

To all of Kim's loved ones,

I am deeply saddened by hearing of your loss. I have a truly special place in my heart for Kim, and her family. So many memories I have of growing up and spending our teenage years together. I am so grateful for her friendship. And I am grateful that I was able to see her, one last time, and her beautiful family several months ago at a resturant we both visited.

I pray for all of you, for comfort, to get through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love,

We adored Kim and have for the past 10 years. She was a beautiful person with such a fun personality. Visiting with Kim was like visiting with a long lost friend-never a shortage of things to say and laugh about! I always left Kim's feeling beautiful in a way that only Kim could make you feel! She was a very dear friend and will be missed terribly. She loved her family dearly and was never quiet about the love she had for her husband and children-often telling stories about their unique personalities and the love she had for each of them. Her children were the light of her life. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,

My sweet Kimberly...... my heart is so broken, we are so lost without you.

I am proud to say that because of the amazing job you and Robert have done in "training them up in the way they should go" though their hearts too are broken your precious little ones are doing better then I would have expected. There is such a tight bond between them and with Lela the ring leader, so much like her mom, we have been blessed to hear there occasional outburst of laughter. Bless there sweet hearts.

Thank you Robert for protecting us all on that tragic night. We were able to make it to her side safely because of your presence of mind. A repeat of your sweetness when Troy passed.

Thank you Kimberly for the sacred gift of being your mother. Because of you I have a lifetime of sweet memories that I will always hold dear.

I love you so my sweetheart Kimberly

Kim was a sweet young lady and she will be missed by all. I just saw her two months ago along with her two daughters at my dear wifes viewing. She looked very well at that time. I was looking at mine and my wifes wedding pictures and there was 3 year old Kim. She was barely the shortest one there. Only my wife was taller but not by much. My heart goes out to the family and I pray that they will be ok. Robert I can feel your pain as I suddenly lost my wife 2 months ago and I believe that I know what your going through. I hope for the best for the whole family and hope that you get through this tragedy. With all my love. Uncle Gayle
