"Aunt Myrna"
Myrna Pollock Rice, 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 11, 2013 in Sandy, Utah. She was born November 1, 1930 in Farmington, Utah to Joseph Henry and Elsie Amelia Cope Pollock. She married Jack Edward Rice on March 15, 1968 in Sandy, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 19, 1975. Jack passed away July 19, 2009.
Myrna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served an LDS mission to Hong Kong from 1956 to 1958. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She worked at Utah Crafts and was a skilled painter.
She is survived by a brother, William (Jeneane) Pollock; three stepchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her missionary companion and longtime friend, Dorris Scott of Florida. Preceded in death by two sons, Tracy Lee and Kevin Richard Rice; three brothers and two sisters.
The family expresses thanks to the special care given to Myrna at the Sandy Health & Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 12 Noon at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, where there will be a viewing Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and again Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.

My aunt Myrna is an amazing lady. I am so thankful that you shared your beautiful talents with me and my family. The last picture you painted for me will be treasured always. It is hard to be sad when I know of the joyous reunion you experienced. I will miss you, until we meet again.
