Ronald Craig Obituary

Craig Ronald K. Craig, age 68 of Columbus, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. Ronald was born and raised in Columbus, only child of the late Karl and Hazel Craig. Ronald graduated from Brookhaven High School, attended Franklin University, and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He retired as an engineer from Lucent. Ronald was a past member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Big Walnut #3261. Ronald was a generous, tender hearted man who was a very loyal friend to many. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly, golfing and fishing, and also loved listening to old stories and remembering the good times. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 22 years, Linda Craig; children, Tanja (Allan Pressnell) Heilman, Marc Craig, Joe McElhatton, and Shannon McElhatton; grandchildren, Sierra, Nicholas, Madison, Haley, and Marcus; special friend, Bill Jeffrey; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.schoedinger.com.

Just heard the news and wanted to extend my condolences to you. We were neighbors with Ron for many years. I am the oldest daughter of Dianne Ferguson (Don) who lived across the street on Dakar Rd in Westerville. I have many fond memories of him and his close friendship with mom and Don.
