Olivia Kennedy Obituary


Olivia Dean Kennedy - 82 born March 15, 1926 in Kinston, AL. Went to be with the Lord December 23, 2008. She is survived by her husband Ronald L. Kennedy of 57 years; children Shirley Adams, Cottonwood Shores, TX; John E. Kennedy, Lubbock, TX; Ronald D. Kennedy, Glendale, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Retired from the El Paso Independent School District as supervisor of several local school cafeteria lunch rooms. After retirement, she volunteered at Beaumont Army Hospital and was very active in her church. She traveled extensively in Europe and the contiguous 48 states and Hawaii. Among her accomplishments she saw her children become teachers, musicians and professional workers. One of the things she was very proud of was that she raised her children to be Christians. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Dyer Chapel. Funeral Services is at 9 am on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Ft. Bliss Cemetery.
