Anita Ferrara Obituary

Anita M. Ferrara, age 86, of Erie, went home to her Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at St. Vincent Health Center. She was born in Erie on November 27, 1923, a daughter of the late Felix and Albina (Dipiero) Sabatini. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Ferrara, on March 22, 2002; and by three siblings: Raymond Sabatini, Adeline Cacchione and Josephine Kwiatowski. Anita was a member of Erie Christian Fellowship Church. She enjoyed spending time crocheting. Anita is survived by five children: Shirley A. Perry, husband M. Robert of Erie, Eileen Ghamo of Erie, Vincent L. Ferrara, wife Nancy of Lafayette, Colo., Linda M. Socash, husband Philip of New Castle and Louis M. Ferrara, wife Kimberly of Erie; nine grandchildren: Robert Perry, wife Kim, Laura Bednarski, husband Chad, Amanda Burton, husband Mike, Charisma Ghamo, Michael Ghamo, Mario Ferrara, Katie Socash, Caitlin Ferrara and Natasha Ferrara and four great-grandchildren: Chad and Sydney Bednarski and twins Cameron Rose and Charlotte Reese Burton. She is also survived by a brother, Leroy Sabatini; three sisters: Lillian Quadri, Margaret Baldini and Rose Augustini and many nieces and nephews. Services and burial are private at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. Memorials may be made to Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation, 130 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16501 or Susan G.
