Barbara Wormuth Obituary

PENN YAN - Barbara R. Wormuth, 73, of Penn Yan, passed away peacefully Wednesday (Nov. 4, 2009) at the Penn Yan Manor.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 7, 2009) at the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held immediately following at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. John Tharp officiating.
Barb was born May 5, 1936, in Albany, the daughter of Vincent M. and Ruth Bayer. She was a graduate of the Dundee Central School, Class of 1955. She was employed by Sears, was a cook for Meals On Wheels, and a cashier for the Penn Yan High School cafeteria.
Barb is survived by her loving husband, William H. Wormuth; children, William (Terersa) Wormuth, John (Stacy) Wormuth, and Keith Wormuth; grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Mathew (Whitney) Johnson, Daniel (Colleen) Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Matthew (Angelika Stellrecht) Wormuth and Cara Wormuth; sister, Jean (Gary) McEvoy; and her brother, John Bayer.
In addition to her parents, Barb was predeceased by her brother, Mike Bayer.
