Robert Hallinan Obituary
Bob attended St. Michael's Elementary and Exeter High School.
He worked at Warren Manufacturing and Wentworth Lumber for 35 years.
Bob served as Newfields Police Chief from 1965-1976 and was a volunteer on the Newfields Fire Department.
He later worked for Daigneault Sons and S & J Transportation.
Bob enjoyed 25 years of traveling in his motor home with Barbara and following NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Barbara (Wentworth) Hallinan; four children, Sharon Talbot (Rick), Kathleen O'Donnell (Michael), Keely Collins (Ken), and Peter Hallinan and his partner Tracy Dawson; grandchildren, Lauren O'Donnell Strilowich, Geoffrey Talbot, Hillary Hallinan, Sean O'Donnell, Joseph Robert Collins; great grandson, Calvin Strilowich.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 28, from 2–4 and 7-9 p.m., at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Church, 184 Main St., Newmarket. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Newmarket.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rockingham VNA & Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH, 03833, or NYAA (Newfields Youth Athletic Association) P.O. Box 314, Newfields, NH, 03856. Visit www.kentandpelczarfh.com to sign an online guestbook.

Good memories of Bob. Played as a teenager with the Newfields adult baseball team while in highschool. Remember when he was the police chief. He was an integral part of Newfields. Will be missed.

I have such fond memories of Officer Hallinan. My favorite was one Halloween we were toilet papering someones trees on Main Street. He pulled up and asked, "What are you kids doing?" We were all so worried we would get in trouble. "Well your doing it all wrong" he said. Then he grabbed a roll and showed us how it was done.

I spoke to Bob a couple of weeks ago. He was one of my best friends growing up in Newfields, we enjoyed our friendship together in our youth. He was a great public figure in Newfields. Just glad I called him, and Barbara. RIP Bob. Bob Charest
