CHARLES HATCH Obituary
Charles Edward Hatch, age 91, departed this life for his eternal home on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He was born in Boston, MA., on February 05, 1920 to Charles L.C. Hatch & Huilda Guditz Hatch. He moved with his parents to St. Petersburg, FL., in 1939 where he obtained a position at the St. Petersburg Times newspaper.
On a blind date, he met his wife Anner Cleo who preceded him in death after 66 years of marriage.
Charles served in the US Navy. He was recognized after 30 years of service at the St. Petersburg Times as the all time leader in display advertising sales. He was the mayor to the City of Trenton and served as deacon at Pine Grove and Fowlers Bluff Baptist Church where he was the song director until his health failed.
Charles is survived by all five of his children, Edward (Inga) Hatch of Trenton, FL., Margaret C. Shreve of Richmond, VA., Susan (Jerry) Huber of Richmond, VA., James (Danielle) Hatch of Old Town, FL., and Mary (Clifford) Quincey of Enterprise, AL., 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 1.:00 P.M. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Edward Hatch and Pastor Clifford Quincey officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Watson Funeral Home.
Family and friends may gather at the home of Eddie and Inga before and following the service.

George and I moved next door to the Hatches in 1991, George passed away in 1994 only three years after we moved there. We were both fond of "Papa & Granny" I lived next door to the Hatches many years after George was gone and they wer always as family to me. I think of them often.

I am so sorry for your families loss. May the "God of comfort" (2 Cor. 1:3) provide you with all the necessary support, thru the words contained in his Word that you need at this most difficult time.

Eddie, Susan, I knew and liked Mr. Hatch. He was kind and helped me when my mother (Jerry's mother) died in 86. We are the worse for his passing. Rose and I send our condolences and thoughts.
