Emma Jones Obituary
Ms. Emma "Betty Jones", age 59, passed away May 8, 2011 at Shands Hospital. Ms. Jones moved with her family from Fitzgerald, GA, fifty-five years ago; she was a member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1969.
She is survived by her daughter; Jamie "Keisha" Jones, Jacksonville, FL, mother; Lillie Harris, Gainesville, FL, siblings; Johnny H. Harris, Leesville, LA, Walter Harris, Barbara Watson, both of Gainesville, FL, Michael Harris, Daytona Beach, FL, and Elizabeth Adams, Philadelphia, PA.
Funeral services for Ms. Jones will be held 11:00am, Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church, Elder Alvin Ford, officiating; burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Chestnut Funeral Home, Inc., 18 N. W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville, FL.
Ms. Jones will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2-7pm, the family will receive friends from 5-6pm; she will repose on Saturday, at the Church from 10am until the hour of service. Family and friends are asked to meet on Saturday at the home of Ms. Jones, 716 N.W. 3rd Street, Gainesville, FL, at 10:15am to form the cortege.

Keisha, God will give you the peace you need at this difficult time, you are strong and it shows your undying love for your mother. Barb, you are exstremely someone to admire, your wisdom and strength is a virtue you are the rock of the family, Momma Lille you are a blessed woman with God's army here on earth and to the rest of her siblings, we will all miss Betty's smile her great sense of humor and her choice of words (LOL) but most of all her wonderful cooking.
