Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

“When Jesus died for people's sins, he brought them back to God. He purchased our salvation on Calvary. When he left for heaven he promised to leave people with a comforter, the Holy Spirit who dwells amongst us everyday to offer comfort and guidance. At times Christian encouragement comes from knowing that the Holy Spirit is here to comfort you and because it is God in Spirit, then you have nothing to worry about.” ~ Anonymous
With that said, I pray that God grants all of you strength during this time of loss and allows you to remember the precious moments shared with Christopher. I pray that He anoints all of your lives and provides you with all the love, guidance, and comfort you may need right now. I pray that He allows heaven to come on earth in your situation because only He knows what each of you needs. I pray that He lights your path, protects you, and supplies you with hope. I pray that God continually shows you who He is and what He stands for. I pray that He fills any voids in your heart and any doubts in your mind. I pray that you look to God when you need some encouragement and that He gives you more than enough because as His word says, you’re the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, if you ask it will be given; if you seek you will find; and if you knock the door will be opened to you. In being Christopher’s earthly family I know that his legacy will continue on in your hearts. Just remember, God loves you and I do too.
I regret that I was unable to be present with you during this time but know I’m sending my love and support. If you need anything feel free to contact me. Nonetheless, may God bless you and your entire family during in this time of bereavement. Stay encouraged. I LOVE YOU.
Sincerely,
Jobe Hernandez

Stephanie and Chris,
I am so sorry to hear about your son. I could not assume to know how you feel but I do know it must be very painful. I can only say that God's promise to us is that we live eternally and that our time here on earth is but a moment compared to eternity. Christopher may not be here as you knew Him, but He is here in spirit and hopefully you can take some comfort in knowing that He lives on forever. I will pray for some comfort to come your way.

Dearest Stephanie, Chris and Family:
I am sending my heartfelt sympathy to you and yours. Though we have not been in touch for years, I have never lost thought of you. I am truly saddened about the loss of your sweet and dear son. I never knew Christopher, but from the tributes of others, what a remarkable young man you bore and nurtured! What a special gift he was to all. No words are ever perfect, but I do want you to know that my thoughts, prayers and sympathy are sincere. May the grace and strength of God surround and embrace you through the quiet and difficult moments.
With sympathy and love to you all,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Steph and Chris,my heart breaks for you as you lay Christopher to rest. There is nothing more difficult than losing a child in the prime of his life. Be comforted in these words from St. Paul: "And I am convinced that nothing ever separates us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow--not even the power of hell can separate us from God's love." Romans 8:38

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
I’d walk right up to heaven
To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken.
No time to say goodbye.
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.
Our love and our prayers are with you Steph, Chris and family.
