Jaime "Jim" Schneider

Jaime "Jim" Bush Schneider Died at age 44 Resident of Colorado Springs Died March 1, 2011 in his own home. Jim was born on December 4th, 1966 in Oberlin, Kansas to Donna Schneider and Jaime Bush. He grew up in south Denver with his mom, Donna. In 1978, their little family joined with Bill Schneider and his four beautiful daughters Lynn, Donna Jean, Laurie and Susan. Jim attended Thomas Jefferson High School in south Denver, and the University of Northern Colorado for both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music education. He was an outstanding band director at Westminster High School and Timberview Middle School here in Colorado Springs. He brought a standard of excellence to the programs he ran, and instilled a passion for music in his students. While at Timberview Middle School, he met his soul mate and best friend, Heather Dunkerton, and they were married on March 28th, 2008 in Manitou Springs. Jim is survived by his faithful and loving wife, Heather; his proud and loving mother, Donna; his father Jaime; his four sisters and their families; his wife's family, including Dave and Marti Dunkerton, and Mark, Corrie, Ethan and Maggie Dunkerton; his dear friend Ken "Scoob" Lykens, as well as numerous other friends and relatives. Also precious to him were his "boys" Dizzy and Miles. Jim was predeceased in death by his step-father Bill Schneider. Services will be held on March 6th, Sunday, at 2:00pm at Mountain View Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to Central Asia Institute, an organization started by Greg Mortenson to educate kids in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
