Lucille Kay Reeves "Katie", 60, was called up to our Heavenly Father December 12, 2016. God took her into his arms to cure her from all of her pain.
Katie was born on July 6, 1956 to Brad and Hannah Reeves.
She married Bill Hampton June 15, 1973, and together they had a son, Tracy Lee Hampton, on March 2, 1976.
Katie's life was filled with love, joy and laughter for her son Tracy, our savior, her family and friends.
She enjoyed working at ECS with her work family. She loved spending time in her flower garden, sitting on her back porch (she called it her Sanctuary) watching the birds, country dancing, camping, arrow head hunting, riding dirt bikes, and ATV's. She spent most of her life in Colorado where she loved to go see the lakes and the wild flowers on the mountains.
Katie is preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Tom Siddell. She is survived by her son, Tracy Hampton; sisters, "Sissy" Debbie Siddell and Maggie (Jerry) Nelson; brother, "DB" Darrell Reeves, and nephews, Eric Salazar, Tyrel "Turtle" Snyder, Josh Reeves; nieces, Alicia Arnold, Jessica Cruz, Krystle Reeves; great-nieces, Shelby and Haylee Arnold and great-nephews, Jacob Cruz, Noah Cruz, Nicholas, Kameron and Braden Arnold.
Celebration of Katie's life will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017, from 5 - 6:00 p.m. at Grand Valley Funeral Homes, Grand Junction Chapel, 1022 Grand Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado.
