Johnson, Brett Michael

Brett Michael Johnson, 30, Allouez, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 7, 2013. He was born June 30, 1983 in Green Bay, son of Michael and Mary Jo (Jaekels) Johnson. Brett graduated from Green Bay Southwest High School, and attended ITT and NWTC where he studied computer science. He worked for IEI General Contractors.

Brett loved music, movies, computers, animals, and going to Packer games.

He was a cancer survivor for the past 18 years and prior loved playing the piano and enjoyed performing as a child magician.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, Mike and Mary Jo Johnson, Allouez; brother, Blake Johnson, Allouez; sister, Sarah Johnson, Rochester, MN; grandmothers, Mary Lou Jaekels, Allouez, and Gwen Johnson, Kingsford, MI; aunts and uncles: Robert Johnson and Jill Moroni, Kingsford, MI, Judy (Terry) Watermolen, Allouez, Mary Jaekels, Green Bay, Jeff (Anne) Jaekels, Allouez, Susie (Steven) Klinkner, Manitowoc, Sally (Bill) Jansen, Allouez, Laurie (Jim) McCartney, De Pere; cousins: Angela Coan, Brian Johnson, Kristin Kranitz, Kim Klinkner, Katie Klinker, Jessica Motol, Jennifer Comstock, Lizzy Sharos, Jacqueline Jaekels, Megan Watermolen, Teryn Tilque, Alex Watermolen, Emily McCartney, Ellen McCartney, and Erin McCartney, Jake and Jenna Jansen; and special friend, Jessica Hazen, Green Bay; and special family friends, Rich and Peggy Lindberg, Rochester, MI.

Brett was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Honorable John C. Jaekels; paternal grandparents, Clayton Johnson and Kathryn Johnson; uncles, James Jaekels; great uncle, Lloyd Planert; and great aunts, retired Lt. Col. Antoinette Melelli and Mildred (Richard) Aabar.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, with Fr. Paul Demuth officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
