Greenville
William Dewey Friddle, Jr., 87, of Greenville, husband of Patricia Lindley Friddle, died Monday, August 25, 2014.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William Dewey Friddle, Sr. and Ida Napier Friddle.
Mr. Friddle served in the US Navy and was the retired owner of Greenville Orthopedic Appliance.
Dewey was a member of the Shriners and was a Mason.
In addition to his loving wife of 44 years, he is survived his children, Donna F. Bright of Greer, Suzanne F. Rhoades (Roger) of Greenville, William Dewey Friddle, III "Pete" (Donna) of Greenville, and Peppir Sexton (Anna) of Butte, MT; a brother, Frank E. Friddle; a sister, Mary F. Grant; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Shane Sexton.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homestead Hospice, 3453 Pelham Road, Suite 107, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family will be at the residence.

To all the Friddles. So sorry to hear about Dewey. He meant a lot to the Stelling family and in particular, Dad. Sorry to have missed the funeral as I was out of town.

sorry to hear of william dewey jr passing, he was my grandfathers 3rd cousin, my dad robert marshall friddle passed last june 22, we will be praying for our Friddle cousins, wished we had met, i had a lot of questions, again,praying for your loss!
