Sandra GAMBILL Obituary


News Death Notice

GAMBILL, Sandra Lynn (nee: Girdler) 61, of Lebanon most of life, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Bethesda Arrow Springs. Born in Cincinnati on April 9, 1951 to Robert & Anna (nee: Richardson) Girdler, she graduated from Lebanon High School and worked for the Warren County Human Services Department for more than 28 years as their assistant director. Sandra enjoyed crafts and researching genealogy, but her main focus was her family. Preceded in death by one brother, Robert "Bobby" Girdler, survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, John Gambill Sr., her parents, Robert & Anna Girdler, three sons & daughters-in-law, John Jr. & Kim, Brian & Karey, and Joe & Samantha, and eight grandchildren, Alex, Nate, Dylan, Logan, Morgan, Madison, Emma & Ethan, all of Lebanon. Also surviving are two brothers, Wane Girdler of Cornville, AZ and Randy Girdler of Lebanon, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Carl Bray and Kathy and Mike Westall, all of Lebanon, numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 6th, 6-8:00 PM, and funeral service Thursday, March 7th, 11:00 AM, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Interment took place in Lebanon Cemetery. A luncheon gathering of family and friends took place after the interment on Thursday at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church. Our deepest sympathies to the Girdler and Gambel families. We both babysat with their boys when they were really young. John and Sandy were wonderful people. Geri (LeVan) Conner and Susan (LeVan) Carter.
