News Death Notice
SNELLING, Eugene M. "Gene" 72, of Middletown, died Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on January 15, 1943 to parents Claude and Estella Mae (Border) Snelling. Gene worked for Armco Steel Corp as a crane operator for 32 years, retiring in 1997. Mr. Snelling is survived by his wife, Oredas (Spurlock) Snelling; daughter, Angela Snelling; brothers, Jack Snelling, Larry (Kathy) Snelling, Mike (Shirley) Snelling, Bill Snelling; and sister, Cathy (John) James. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Claude Jr., Donald, John, Paul, Tom & Ricky Snelling; and sister, Betty Dearth & Eloise Holder. I just saw Gene at the car show @ the senior citizens yard this summer. I lived @ the end of Eaton Ave. I would see Gene at Sunset pool. Really, really a nice guy. What a loss for family and friends! I'm so sorry.

My prayers and condolences are being sent and know he will always be remembered at cruise in's. Prayers will follow you and concern for your healing, as time does heal. A cruiser at car get-to-gathers and a friend from childhood. He will be missed.
