Mama, while on this earth, was the TRUEST friend one could ever have! Mama listened, not only with her ears, but with the most sincere interest and concern of her heart! Mama always desired to respond with words that were eternally significant, as well as uplifting and encouraging!

Mama received the utmost satisfaction from those occasions when God would cause her path to cross with a hurting individual in need of uplift or some counsel, or one who was concerned about a sick loved one. Mama referred to those occasions as "divine appointments"! Mama reveled in being led by God's Spirit to say just the right words to meet the need, and she believed strongly in the laying on of hands to see the sick recover.

Words cannot express the emptiness, the very sizeable void in my life left by Mama's departure. For 47 years she shared in the highlights and good times of my life, and Mama also endured even the lowest of my low times, when a lesser person might have turned their back on me. Throughout my life, Mama exhibited what I considered to be an incredible example of God's unconditional love!

As I write this from an imperfect world, I firmly believe that Mama is walking on a street that is paved with the purest of gold, among beauty that defies our limited imagination! As I weep selfishly over my loss, I know emphatically that Mama is RIGHT NOW, and for ALL ETERNITY, experiencing joy unspeakable and full of Glory! For these reasons, and more besides, it is clear to me that the most pressing priority I have is to follow in Mama's footsteps, even as she followed Jesus, with the hope of Glory that is in Christ!

'Til We Meet Again In Eternity,
I Love You Mama!!!
