Shirley CRABTREE Obituary

CRABTREE, Shirley J. Shirley J. Crabtree, 63, of Kondracki Lane, Wallingford and formerly of Danielson, CT died Thursday at The Village Green of Wallingford. She was born in Washington D.C. on January 17, 1947, daughter of the late Arch and Alice (Carpenter) Crabtree. Ms. Crabtree lived much of her life in Danielson, where for many years she ran her own cleaning business. She was a member of The Cornerstone Baptist Church of Danielson and very active in CT Special Olympics competing in the speed-walking and weight-lifting events. She loved her cats, Missy and Buster. Shirley is survived by her sisters, Barbara Simonetta of Hamden, CT and Susan Raymond of Assonet, MA, nephew Michael Simonetta and nieces, Alyson Simonetta and Meghan Raymond. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Crabtree. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson, CT. A calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to The CT Hospice Inc., 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
