ARONNE, Joseph C.
Joseph C. Aronne, of Wethersfield, died Friday (February 24, 2012). Born in 1928 and raised in Hartford he was the son of the late Michael and Angeline. Joseph was a proud US Army veteran of the Korean War. He lived in Florida for most of his adult life with his wife, Leone. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a communicant of the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield and a member of the Men's Club. Joe was a devoted friend to both the Veteran's Hospital and the Children's Medical Center. He is survived by his sisters, Antoinette and Rose both of Wethersfield; brothers, Michael and wife, Mary of Middletown and William and wife, Rita of Wethersfield; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Anna, Horace, Mario, Blaise and Frank. Joe's family is thankful to the wonderful dedicated staff of Jefferson House in Newington where he received such loving care
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd. Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. The burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill with full military honors. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9-10:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel. Donations in Joseph's memory may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101.

Will and Rita, Dolly and Rose, Joe and Robin's families- we will always remember Uncle Joe being at all the grandkids' celebrations. He was a real gentleman and went out of his way to talk to and spend time with us. We will miss him.
