John Obenhaus Obituary

JOHN ELWOOD "SPEEDY" OBENHAUS, 97, of Port Lavaca, died November 17, 2006. He was born September 24, 1909, in Wharton, Texas to the late John Arnold Obenhaus and Nellie Belle Obenhaus. Speedy was a devoted husband and a dedicated father and grandfather. He was and active participant in all phases of his children's life. Survivors include: his sons, Lynn E. Obenhaus and his wife Vicky of Katy, TX and Larry Lee Obenhaus and his wife Lynn of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Michael Obenhaus, John Obenhaus, Ronald Obenhaus and wife Amy, Timothy Obenhaus and wife Kristi, and Jeffrey Obenhaus wife Stefanie and their daughter Krista . He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Aline Alma Obenhaus; and brother, Charles H. Obenhaus. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 20, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Glidden Baptist Church in Glidden, TX. Interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, TX. Serving as Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Memorials to 100 Club. Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements 361-552-2988.
