Clarence Laird Obituary

Clarence Ray Laird (a.k.a. Larry), age 84, passed away on 11-14-12. He was born 12-16-27 in Old Gulf, Texas to Bertha and Barney Laird. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosemary Laird, and children, son David Laird, and daughter Starla Reichek and husband Sam. He is also survived by Granddaughters Amanda Reichek, and Melissa Smith and husband Joe. Two Great-Grandchildren Kaylen and Cameron Smith, sister Hazel Rabourne. Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law Bobby and Joy Webb, and Sister-in-Law Kay Webb. Numerous nieces and nephews. Clarence served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired with 43 years of service in 1986. He has been a member of Klein United Methodist Church for 22 years. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Klein United Methodist Church, 5920 FM 2920, Spring, Texas 77388. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Klein United Methodist Church.

Mr. Laird was my neighbor in Lexington Wood and enjoyed visiting with him on his jogs. While at Southwestern Bell, he always gave positive guidance in going about things. He very was very approachable and smiled when approached.
