Laura Farrell Regan,45, of Cypress, Texas passed away Wednesday September 30, 2015. Laura graduated from Virginia Polytechnic University in Blacksburg, Virginia with a BS in Biology followed by certification as a Medical Technologist. She worked in this field her entire adult life. Employment included the Laboratory at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and as a Forensic Toxicologist at the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, and was currently employed by a private laboratory headquartered in Covington, Louisiana.
Laura will forever be loved and remembered by her surviving children, Robert, Christina and Caroline Regan, Mother Elizabeth Farrell Jenkins; Stepfather Larry Jenkins; Father John R. Farrell, Jr; Paternal Grandmother Lillian Farrell; Brothers John Michael and Christopher Farrell and their families; James Regan the children's father; her good friend Lynn DeCuir; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
A Memorials Service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2 pm at Klein Funeral Home located at 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, TX 77065. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Regan Scholarship Fund at Resource Bank 1695 West Causeway Mandeville, LA 70471 or please contact Klein Funeral Home at 832-678-3900.

I will always remember Laura's smile and the way she would laugh. I have fond memories of her in the lab at MD Anderson when we would do diffs together and sing along to the radio. Laura is one of the greatest friends I've ever had. She was loving, caring and nurturing. She showed up for me every time I asked and even when I didn't. Her love for others was huge! I am honored that I could be a part of her life. I love her and miss her tremendously. She helped nurse me back to health with her love, her smile and her positive attitude. She was there for me every step. She stayed many a night with me at the hospital and held my hand. She was so PROUD of her children and loved them so BIG! You are missed my wonderful friend and know that we all loved you.

Though I only knew Laura for 17 months, I love my Friend Dearly and she will remain close to my Heart Forever. The past 6 months the close bond we shared was truly a Gift from God that I will treasure. I was honored that she shared her Joys with me as well as her Sorrows. Laura was an Amazing Friend who would do anything for anyone in Need. Her Heart the Size of Texas! I hope that she honestly knew how much she was loved in return!
