Emilie Jean Weimer
76, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away peacefully October 3, 2012. She was born on May 12, 1936, to the late John and Marjorie Daniels in Columbus, Indiana. She married Paul Weimer in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 1984.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel Weimer (Meredith) of Danville, California and Michael Weimer (Pat) of Indianapolis and her brother, Joseph Daniels (Reggina) of Indianapolis.
She was a 1953 graduate of Southport High School and later began a 30 year career with Indiana Bell and AT&T. She started her career as a long distance operator, retiring as an Administrative Manager. She continued working as a Telecommunications Consultant/Training Coordinator at IUPUI in Indianapolis until 1997. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and especially the time spent with family and friends. She was blessed with an incredibly devoted group of life long friends who were so important to her during her illness.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the staff at Kindred Transition Care and Rehabilitation for their exceptional care during her stay.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home , 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. Entombment service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery, 435 W. Troy, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
