Teri and I were great friends at Pac Bell, and after, as she pursued interests with the hispanic councils and her many future jobs. Her children won’t remember me, as they were too young, but I remember them well, and they visited us in Forestville. We had a great respect for each others desires and accomplishments. After all this time, I still miss her and honor her memory. It was a treasure to make mexican tamales with her and her mother.

My deepest condolences Veronica, Tony and the rest of the Roderick-Alderete family. I met Terry in 1989 working at that time at the Hispanic Center for Pacific Bell. A role model, mentor and friend!!! I'm blessed as so many others who benefited from having known such a wonderful person. Terry you will live forever through all of us and your memories will carry your legacy for many life times to come.

As a friend and colleague of Terry's for over 25 years, her passing will leave a deep void, but she will live on in the many wonderful memories I have of her. I cherish the time I was able to spend with her. Terry has been a part of every good thing that happened in our community. We are all so fortunate to have had her in our lives and to have shared in her intelligence, wit, integrity, brave spirit and caring heart.

My sincere condolences goes to the Roderick-Alderete family. The Latino community,in Fruitvale-Oakland will feel her absence and presence as she was the guiding force for community events, especially Dia de Los Muertos, for many years. Any of us involved in events know that Teri was beyond compare, she could make it happen, anywhere, anytime. I am very thankful to had the opportunity to meet and work with a great person like Teri. We had a lot common and I'm going to miss her dearly. She was such a role modeled to me. I'll never forget you my friend, my mentor and your influence will be felt forever! RIP. Love you Teri

Terry was an exceptional soul. A leader, pioneer in the Hispanic chamber movement, a loving and devoted daughter, mother and friend. Terry always smiled, always volunteered to do the work and never complained. She will be remembered and missed by all. Rest in peace, dear Terry as you deserve nothing but glory in the heavens above. Terry was a good friend and it is really sad to learn of her passing. I first met Terry about 30 years ago at the HCAC and then starting working with her about 12 or 13 years ago at the Unity Council. There was no one like Terry.

There was no such thing as rank with Terry; All were equal. She only wanted to do a good job and it didn't matter who was the boss. She was the best.
