Shayna Smith Obituary
Shayna attended Okolona High School. Before becoming a homemaker, she worked for MTD. She was of the Baptist faith. One who loved life and her family, Shayna was a determined lady. She was passionate about her daughter, Alexis, who was the apple-of-her-eye. Together they enjoyed going to the park to feed the ducks; walking together; reading bedtime stories; and saying nighttime prayers.
Survivors include her mother, Debra Smith, Saltillo; father, Cecil Smith, Wren; daughter, Alexis Smith, Okolona; grandfather, Wayne H. Parish, Okolona; brothers, Carl Wayne Smith, Okolona; Jewel Ray Pearson, Saltillo; Stephen Trest, Okolona; Ricky Trest, San Antonio, TX; Donnie Parish, Destin, FL; Daniel Parish, Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marie Parish; Henry Sylvester and Nannie Lou Sullivan Pearson.
Her Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, September 2, 2016, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Bro. Truman Carter officiating. Burial will be in Coontail Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donnie and Daniel Parish; Stephen and Ricky Trest; Jeff and Zack Pearson. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Morris, Tony Dabbs, and Joseph Whitlow.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
