The possessor of a trained voice, having studied under three well known teachers she, for many years, gave generously of her talent to both church and secular activities.

She also leaves two special, long time, friends and benefactors, Ray Butts III, and Alice Butts Bryson.

Miss Butler loved her family, her many friends and her Lord.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.

Byrnes was my mother, Mary Jackson´s, friend. She visited us in our mill house. Byrnes was the most powerful person us kids knew. She controlled who got what house. In a mill village that is bigger than the Governor. Mother and I visited Byrnes in the hospital a couple times. One near the end best I remember. They always prayed together and I always saw a look of peace and joy in Byrnes´ eyes after those prayers. Blessed is her life and her memory with our family.

I take great comfort in the fact that Byfnes was a faithful and supportive friend of the Mary and Raymond Jackson family for their entire life. I distinctly remember In the last six months of Mothers life she and I visited Byrnes in the hospital. They talked and prayed together and both shed tears of joy in recalling their shared lives. Byrnes and I shared a friendship of long standing because of Mother and Barbara. Thank you Byrnes.
