I also never met sydney but am a homestead high alumni. I live next to homestead and had the honor of paying my respects to her friends who were surrounding her parking spot at the school. My daughters and I are very touched by her tragic death. She was too young and sounds like she will be missed by many. My heart goes out to all of sydneys friends and family. Please accept our condolences at the loss of your beautiful daughter. Our daughter, Megan, graduated last year from HHS and knew Sydney well. She wanted to attend the funeral but could not leave Oshkosh today. She assures me that there were going to be many students from HHS in attendance. Sydney was loved.

My daughter Abby (Nicolet High School '2010) knew Sydney. We live very near your temple and as I sit in my living room writing this I can see the "over flow" of mourners parking at the Lutheran church near the temple- truly a testament to what a wonderful young women Sydney was. The loss of a child is one of the hardest things a parent can ever face in their lifetime. You may find that you put laundry in the refrigerator and food in the laundry...your days are not "normal", as your life has been forever changed. Prayers and caring to your family.

Our daughter graduated last year from HHS, and was very distraught over the loss of Sydney. She knew her well and spoke of how well liked and kind she was. Having four children of my own I cannot imagine the pain and heartbreak you are experiencing, and I wanted to let you know that like so many others in the community, you and your family are truly in the thoughts of many not just here, but with the many kids who have graduated and knew her and are mourning her loss in other areas.
