Urban Bartel Obituary

Bartel, Urban F. Mr. "B" September 26, 2012, age 85. Beloved and loving husband of Marilyn (Nee Voigt) for 61 years. Father of Wendy (Mark) Reinemann and Brett (Alina) Bartel. Grandfather of Lilly, Christopher and Victoria. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Mr. "B" was a special mentor and companion of the members of "An Exceptional Chorus. " Visitation Monday, October 1, 4-8 PM at the FUNERAL HOME. Visitation Tuesday, 9:30-10:00 AM at HALES CORNERS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 12300 W. Janesville Rd, with funeral service at 10 AM. Interment Good Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to The Eisenhower Center, a program for adults with developmental and/or neurological disorders, 4425 W. Woolworth Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53218. Urban was a research photographer at Outboard Marine Research. He was a proud and active member of the Wisconsin Industrial Photographers Association and the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association. He still had his very first car a 1931 Model A Ford. He loved to be involved with antique cars and the Model A Ford Club of America. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 416. There is not a person on this earth who did not enjoy being with Urban. He had a terrific sense of humor and was a very giving person. He left us with many wonderful memories of who he was and we will carry him in our hearts forever. He will be greatly missed. Marilyn, Brett and my Goddaughter Lilly, You are all So Blessed to have had "Mr. B" in your lives here on earth. Celebrate that and remember his love of life and teachings of life and happiness. I remember talking to him and we were both always smiling about our families! Keep a Happy face on for him, he would appreciate it Brett and Mom can relate to his teachings of love of family. Lilly you have a Big Hug coming! Sorry I was out of town and could not be there in person. You are All in my thoughts and prayers! Chris Petchel
