Priscilla Romo Hernandez, 44, a loving wife and devoted mother passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Mid-Cities Community Church, Midland. Visitation: The family will be accepting guests 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, Midland. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Priscilla Hernandez to Midland Classical Academy, 5711 Whitman Drive, Midland, TX 79705, ATTN: Robin Long. Pallbearers: Homar Romo, Homero Romo, Nessie Romo, Robert Hernandez, Richard Hernandez, and Lyle Petrutsas. Priscilla was born Oct. 27, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas to Adelia and Alejandro Romo. She graduated from Thomas Edison High School with the class of 1989 in San Antonio before receiving her Associates Degree from Howard College. On Aug. 21, 1999, Priscilla married her true love, Ruben Hernandez, in San Antonio. The couple were the proud parents of two children. The majority of her career was spent at Midland Classical Academy. She was a member of Mid-Cities Community Church and was a strong, faithful woman. She dedicated her life to creating a nurturing, godly family. She was a friend to all. Her vivacious love for life was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She was quick to find the good in those around her and had a gift for pulling it out. She was not one to mince words, but would speak the truth in love. Her smile lit up the room as it emanated from the inside. Priscilla's life was a reflection of these verses in Matthew 22:37-39, "Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment." And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Priscilla was a loyal friend through life's ups and downs. Her strong faith in God carried her with dignity and grace throughout her life. Survivors: Husband, Ruben Hernandez; children, Elyssa and Diego Hernandez; parents, Alejandro and Adelia Romo; siblings, Alejandro Homar Romo, Alejandro Homero Romo, Cindy Ortiz, Lourdes Noemi, Amy Devine, Onezimo Romo; parents-in-law, Joe and Maria Hernandez; brothers-in-law, Robert Hernandez and Richard Hernandez; sister-in-law, Rosalynn Petrutsas; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
