Renee Scales Obituary
RENEE SCALES
LIMA — Renee Patrice Scales, age 64, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at approximately 6:37 a.m., at Lima Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 2, 1952 to the union of Walter Thomas and Patricia Ann (Carr) Scales, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Scales retired from the United Telephone Company of Ohio (Sprint). She was a member of Liberty Temple Church. Renee loved reading, crocheting, taking care of animals and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her daughter, Robin D. (Oliver) Scales of Lima; two grandsons, Patrick E. Godsey Jr. and Oliver B. Lee III; four sisters, Jocelyn D. Wilson, Kelli L. Scales, both of Lima, Dana Scales of Atlanta, GA and Melanie D. (Timothy) Ulmer, of Mt. Holly, NJ; three brothers, Ronald E. Scales, Charles D. Scales Sr. and Thomas A. (Camille) Scales, all of Lima; six nieces, nine nephews, seven great-nieces, and nine great-nephews, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Joseph A. Scales and nephew Prince Logan T. Scales.
Private services will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at 10 a.m. at Bayliff & Sons Funeral Home, Cridersville.

I don't know what to say but I can't believe that you're gone and that you're not hurting anymore because you're with the Lord. My heart aches and every time I drive past Lima Manor I look and know that I will never be able to see you again. Renee was one of the first to greet me, when I started at United Telephone 29 years ago. She was willing to help me "learn the ropes", for which I was grateful because to that point I had been a stay-at-home mom and had very little work experience. I am praying for you & your family, Robin. Today will be difficult, but The Comforter will be present.
