AGE: 87 •
SOLOMON-Bernice Lenore Fiering. Died peacefully on January 13, 2017. Predeceased by her parents, Simon and Elaine Fox Fiering. Cherished wife of the late Louis Arnold (Buddy) Solomon; loving mother of Sally Solomon Cohen and Richard P. Solomon and dear mother in law of Carol Berman Solomon. Devoted grandmother of William Ezra (Billy) Solomon, Aaron Moss Cohen, and P.Joseph Resignato; sister of the late Myron B Fiering. Beloved cousin to her Fiering and Fox extended families. Born and raised in The Bronx, Graduate of High School of Music and Art, Barnard College, and Columbia University (Teachers College). A lifetime music lover, avid book reader, innovative educator, gracious hostess, and loyal friend, whose warm smile brought joy to many far and wide. Funeral Monday, 11 am at Riverside Memorial, 21 West Broad Street, Mt Vernon New York. Contributions in her memory to; Barnard College, AS,3009 Broadway New York, NY, Planned Parenthood Westchester County NY, the Ferguson Library Stamford CT, Larchmont Public Library Larchmont, NY or a library of your choice.

Dear Ricky and Sally,
Pat and I are sorry that we could not make the service for your mom, but we wanted to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We have fond memories of the times we got to see her at family gatherings. She was a very kind, gracious and caring woman.
