Walter Marshall Obituary

Walter Sonny Marshall CLEBURNE-Service for Walter Sonny Marshall, 71, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012, at Cleburne Bible Church. Pastor David denHartog will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Marshall passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in Cleburne. He was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Alvarado to Sidney Harold and Virginia Ailshie Marshall. He married Joan Isobel Morgan on March 1, 1964, in Sulphur Springs. Sonny served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps for 19 years and was a land man in the oil and gas industry until retirement in 2009. He was a member of Cleburne Bible Church. Survivors include his wife, Joan Marshall of Cleburne; four sons, Bret Marshall and wife Becky of Steamboat Springs, Colo., Brock Marshall and wife Julie of Lubbock, Brad Marshall and wife DeNay of Cleburne and Brandon Marshall of Clarksburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Haylie, Conner, Tanner, Katie, Brittany, Morgan, Heidi, Maggie and Marlie; and several other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Mallory May Marshall. You may sign guestbook at www.cpcleburne.com.

What sweet times we had with our boys growing up together.All the hard work you and the other dads,doing the baseball fields at Southwest. Then comes high school and the fun trips we went on.Fond memories!
